1. About these terms

These terms apply when you use the luxelogica website. By using it, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. They do not affect your legal rights as a consumer.

2. Who we are

3. What luxelogica does

We pick beauty deals from UK retailers and tell you why we chose them. We are not the seller. When you click “Shop now” you go to the retailer's own website. Anything you buy is a contract between you and that retailer, on their terms. Delivery, returns, refunds and problems with an order are for the retailer to deal with, and your consumer rights are against them.

4. Prices, deals and availability

We check prices and availability when we publish a deal, but they can change at any time and without notice. Deals can end or sell out. We do not promise that any price, saving or product shown is still available, or that it is the lowest price you could find. The price on the retailer's website when you buy is the one that applies. If you spot a deal that has ended, please use “Report expired deal” on the deal page.

5. Affiliate links, adverts and sponsored content

We may earn a commission when you buy through links on the site, at no extra cost to you. Our affiliate disclosure explains this in full.

In the future we may also show adverts or sponsored content. If we do, we will label it clearly so you can tell it apart from our own picks. Adverts come from third parties: we do not endorse them, and anything you buy through one is a contract between you and the advertiser or retailer, not us. Adverts and analytics may involve cookies or similar tools. We will only use those in line with our cookies policy and privacy policy, which we will update first, and we will ask for your permission where the law requires it.

6. Our opinions

Our curator's notes, headlines and “why we chose it” text are our own opinions. They are not professional advice, and they are not a promise that a product will suit you or work in a particular way. Check ingredients, allergens and suitability with the retailer or the brand before you buy, especially if you have sensitive skin or allergies.

7. Your account

• You must be at least 13 to create an account.
• Give us accurate details and keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
• An account lets you save deals, follow brands and manage your name and newsletter choice.
• You can ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing us.
• We may suspend or close an account if these terms are broken or the account is misused.

8. The newsletter

The newsletter is optional. We only send it to people who have agreed to receive it, and every email has an unsubscribe link. You can also switch it off any time in My account. See our privacy policy for how we use your email.

9. Using the site properly

Please do not:

• use the site for anything unlawful, or in a way that could damage it or stop others using it;
• try to get into other people's accounts, or into parts of the site that are not meant for you;
• use automated tools to copy the site's content in bulk, or overload it with requests;
• misuse the “Report expired deal” feature, for example by sending false or repeated reports.

10. Our content and brand

The luxelogica name, logo, design and the words we write belong to us or the people who license them to us. Product names, brand names and product images belong to their owners, and appear to show you the deal. You may use the site for your own personal use. Please do not copy, sell or republish our content without asking us first.

11. Other people's websites

The site links to retailers and other sites we do not run. We are not responsible for their content, prices, privacy practices or services. Please read their terms and policies.

12. Our responsibility to you

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.

Beyond that, we provide the site free of charge and “as is”. We take reasonable care to keep it accurate and running, but we cannot promise it will always be available, error-free or up to date. We are not responsible for loss that was not a reasonably foreseeable result of something we did wrong, for losses caused by relying on a price or deal that has since changed, or for any loss of profit or business (the site is for personal, not business, use).

13. Changes

We may change the site, and these terms, from time to time. The date at the top shows when they were last updated. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the updated terms. If a change is significant, we will make that clear.

14. Which law applies

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can deal with any dispute. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in the courts where you live.
