Privacy policy
We keep your information to a minimum and never sell it. This page explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

1. Who is responsible for your information
For anything about your information, contact us at hello@luxelogica.com.
This policy follows the UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).
2. What we collect, and why

| Technical information: for example your IP address and browser type, held in the standard logs our hosting provider keeps. When you report a deal, your IP address is also held in the server's memory for about ten minutes to stop repeat reports. What we do not collect. We never see your payment details, because you buy from the retailer, not from us. At the moment we do not use analytics or advertising trackers. If that ever changes, section 4 below explains what we will do.
3. Newsletter and marketing emails
We only send the newsletter to people who have chosen to receive it, by joining on the home page or through the invitation that can appear on a deal page, ticking the box when signing up, or switching it on in My account. It is never switched on for you. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also turn it off in My account. If you unsubscribe, we keep your email address and the date, so that we do not email you again by mistake.
4. Analytics, advertising and tracking (not used today)
At the moment we do not use analytics, advertising or tracking technologies. In the future we may want to, for example to understand how the site is used and improve it, or to carry adverts and measure how well they work. These could include cookies, tracking pixels, device or browser identifiers and similar technologies. If we do, this is what we commit to:
- We will ask first. We will not switch on any analytics, advertising or other non-essential cookie or tracker until you have said yes, using a clear choice where saying no is as easy as saying yes.
- We will tell you what is happening before it starts. We will update this policy and our cookies policy first, to say what information is collected (for example a cookie or device identifier, your IP address, your browser and device, the pages you view, and how you interact with adverts), why, which companies are involved, and how long it is kept.
- Our legal basis will be your consent. You can withdraw it at any time, and doing so stops any further collection.
- We will name the companies. Analytics providers and advertising partners may collect information through our site, and some decide for themselves how to use it. Their own privacy policies will then apply, and we will link to them.
- We will not hand over your account details. We will not give advertisers or analytics providers your name, your email address or your account information.
- You will be able to change your mind. We will add a cookie settings link to the footer of every page, and you can also block or delete cookies in your browser.
5. Who we share your information with
We do not sell your information. We use a small number of trusted providers to run the site, who only handle it on our instructions:
- Supabase, which stores our database and handles logging in. Our data is held in the EU (Ireland).
- Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, which serves the website.
- Our email service provider, Resend, for emails we send, such as the newsletter and messages from the site.
Retailers and affiliate networks. When you click through to a retailer, you leave our site. The retailer and their affiliate network can see that you came from us, and may use cookies to record a sale. We do not send them your account details. Their own privacy policies apply from that point.
If we introduce analytics or advertising in the future, we will name those companies here and, as set out in section 4, only involve them once you have agreed.
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
6. Sending information abroad
Some of our providers may process information outside the UK, for example in the United States. Where they do, we make sure it is protected by an approved safeguard, such as the UK's data bridge, an adequacy decision, or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.
7. How long we keep your information
- Your account and wishlist: until you ask us to delete your account.
- Newsletter records: while you are subscribed. After you unsubscribe we keep only your email address and the date, so we can honour your choice. We keep the record of what you agreed to for as long as we need to show that we had your consent.
- Messages to us: for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry, and then for a reasonable time afterwards in case you follow up.
- Server logs: for a short period, as set by our hosting provider.
8. Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask what information we hold about you, and get a copy;
- have anything wrong corrected (you can already edit your name in My account);
- ask us to delete your information;
- ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to us using it;
- ask for your information in a portable format;
- withdraw your consent at any time, for example by unsubscribing. This does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.
To use any of these rights, email hello@luxelogica.com with “Data request” in the subject line. We will reply within one month, and it is free. We may need to check who you are first.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk, or on 0303 123 1113.
9. Keeping your information safe
Information is encrypted while it travels between your browser and the site. Passwords are stored in hashed form. Each person can only see their own account information, and access to the newsletter list is limited to the site owners. No system is perfectly secure, but we take care to protect what you give us.
10. Children
luxelogica is not aimed at children. You must be at least 13 to create an account, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone younger. If you think a child has given us their details, please contact us and we will delete them.
11. Cookies
Our cookies policy explains what the site stores in your browser.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If we make an important change, we will tell you, for example on the site or by email.
